The Turner Center for the Arts is now seeking talented musicians and community sponsors for its highly anticipated 2026 Music in the Art Park Concert Series, running from June through November on the second Friday of each month.
Launched in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Music in the Art Park was created to provide a safe, outdoor venue for live performances while supporting local artists and giving the community a place to gather and enjoy live entertainment.
“Music in the Art Park began as a way to support local musicians and bring people together during a challenging time,” said Turner Center Executive Director Sementha Mathews, Ph.D. “Thanks to the generosity of local sponsors and the enthusiasm of our community, the series has grown into a beloved tradition that celebrates the incredible talent and spirit of Valdosta and Lowndes County.”
Held in the Turner Center’s Art Park at 605 N. Patterson Street, the concert series continues to be free and open to the public thanks to the support of local business sponsors. Each event features live performances by regional musicians, food vendors, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of music under the South Georgia open sky.
