The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host the Kenji Bolden Quartet for a live Music in the Art Park concert on Friday, May 12, from 7-9 p.m. in the Art Park, located at 605 N. Patterson St. The concert is sponsored by Bush Wealth Management, and is free to the public.

Sound will be provided by Brant Pickard of Live Sound Consulting.

The South Georgia Entertainers will meet on Tuesday, April 11, from 6-8 p.m., at the Turner Center for the Arts located at 527 N. Patterson Street. SGE is led by local musicians Lloyd Carter (Lloyd Carter Band) and Aaron Strickland (Naturally Southern) and meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Turner Center for the Arts in Valdosta, unless otherwise noted. The group brings musicians of all ages and experience levels together to discuss key industry issues, regional opportunities available, and ways to support one another. Read More
Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts and its Young Writers League (YoWL) hosted the third annual Art of Writing Contest sponsored by Guardian Bank, Greater Valdosta United Way, Valdosta Daily Times, and Snake Nation Press. Middle and high school students in Valdosta, south Georgia, and the surrounding areas were invited to participate in the contest.
