The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host Folk, Soul, and Pop artist Thunderstorm Artis at the Turner Center Art Park, 605 North Patterson St., on Fri., April 24, 2026, 7PM. The concert is the sixth of eight (8) free, live performances in the 2026 Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series, sponsored by the Levitt Family Foundation, The Price-Campbell Foundation, and supported by WALB News 10, Lamar Advertising, and the Valdosta Daily Times.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host the 39th annual Spring Into Art exhibition with the highly anticipated Spring Into Art Gala, which will take place 6-9 pm on Monday, April 13, in the main building located at 527 N. Patterson Street, Valdosta.

Blues and soul artist Jed Harrelson will take the stage at the 2026 Valdosta Bluesberry Festival on Friday, April 10, at 7 p.m., as part of the Turner Center for the Arts’ Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series. The concert marks the fourth of eight free live performances in the 2026 Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series, made possible by the Levitt Family Foundation and The Price-Campbell Foundation. This special concert will be held off-site at Unity Park Amphitheatre, located at 301 E. Central Avenue in Valdosta.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts continues to accept nominations for the Lena Bosch Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes individuals who have exhibited outstanding, creative, innovative, and visionary leadership in the growth and advancement of the arts in our community through involvement with the Turner Center.

A Music Mentorship Program Celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial

The Lowndes-Valdosta Arts Commission, doing business as the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts, has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to fund a Strum & Drum for America 250 after-school and weekend opportunity for youth on its family-friendly arts campus.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host country/rock band Naturally Southern for a live Music in the Art Park concert on Fri., November 14 from 7-9 p.m. in the Art Park located at 605 N. Patterson St. The concert, sponsored by Greater Valdosta United Way, is free to the public.
