The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will hold an opening reception on Mon., November 10, from 5 to 7 p.m., at 527 N. Patterson Street. The Center will feature the works of Amy Lay, “A West Wind,” the Southeast Fiber Arts Alliance (SEFAA), “Intertwined 2025: Contemporary Southeastern Fiber Art,” and the Contemporary Art Alliance of Georgia (CAAGA), “Introducing CAAGA.” Admission is free? and light refreshments will be served.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will hold a new gallery exhibit reception on Mon., August 4, from 5 to 7pm, at 527 N. Patterson Street. The Center will feature the works of the Withlacoochee Quilters Guild, Debo Groover, “Flora and Fauna,” and the re-installation of the African Artifact Permanent Collection. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts presents The Backstares for a live Music in the Art Park concert on Fri., July 11 from 7-9 p.m. in the Art Park, located at 605 N. Patterson St. The concert, sponsored byLandis International and The Valdosta Daily Times, is free to the public.

Recently, Georgia Senator Blake Tillery visited the Children’s Imagination Station to view its progress. As Senate Appropriations Chairman, Sen. Tillery was instrumental in the Center receiving $1 million from the Georgia General Assembly for the Imagination Station, which is expected to open early 2026.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts presents Erica Falls, from 7 to 9 pm at the Turner Center Art Park, 605 North Patterson St., on Fri., May 9, 2025. The concert is the ninth of 10 free live performances in the 2025 Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series, sponsored by the Mortimer and Mimi Levitt Foundation, The Price-Campbell Foundation, WALB News 10, Lamar Advertising, and the Valdosta Daily Times.

Congratulations to Jessie’s Restaurant & Catering, the winner of the 8^th Annual Valdosta Food & Wine Classic Best Dish award for the third year running. The winning dish was chosen from among 10 participating vendors. This year, more than $10,000 was raised to support various educational programs at the Turner Center.
