The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts invites the community to help the arts flourish in Valdosta, Lowndes County, and surrounding regions. July 1 kicks off the 2023-2024 membership year and friends of the Turner Center, and anyone who loves the arts, are encouraged to join.

The South Georgia Entertainers will meet on Tuesday, June 13, from 6-8 p.m., at the Turner Center for the Arts located at 527 N. Patterson Street. SGE is led by local musicians Lloyd Carter (Lloyd Carter Band) and Aaron Strickland (Naturally Southern) and meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Turner Center for the Arts in Valdosta, unless otherwise noted. The group brings musicians of all ages and experience levels together to discuss key industry issues, regional opportunities available, and ways to support one another.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host Naturally Southern for a live Music in the Art Park concert on Fri., June 9 from 7-9 p.m. in the Art Park located at 605 N. Patterson St. The live concert, sponsored by Home Instead and Campbell Construction and Roofing, is free to the public.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host the Kenji Bolden Quartet for a live Music in the Art Park concert on Friday, May 12, from 7-9 p.m. in the Art Park, located at 605 N. Patterson St. The concert is sponsored by Bush Wealth Management, and is free to the public.

Congratulations to Jessie’s Restaurant and Catering, the winners of the 6^th Annual Valdosta Food & Wine Classic Best Dish award. The winning dish was chosen from among 11 participating vendors.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts announces the final concert in the 2022-2023 SCORE Classical Music Appreciation Concert Series, which features Guitarist Paolo Schianchi. The concert will take place on Tuesday, April 25, at 7 p.m., in the Turner Center art galleries, 527 N. Patterson Street, in Valdosta.
