The Turner Center for the Arts announces the third concert in their 2024-2025 SCORE Music Appreciation Concert Series, which features Harpist Angelica Hairston. The concert will take place on Tuesday, February 11, at 7 p.m., in the Turner Center art galleries, 527 N. Patterson Street, in Valdosta.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host Gogh Green, an upscale art resale event, on Mon., Dec. 2, from 6 to 8 pm at 527 N. Patterson St., Valdosta. Patrons will be allowed to take home their purchases knowing their support of this event will benefit different educational programs provided by the Turner Center for the Arts.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will present BACH to the Future – Tuesday, November 19, from 7-9pm, at the Turner Center for the Arts, 527 N. Patterson St., Valdosta. Tickets are $25/ea at the door.

BACH to the Future, led by chart-topping pianist Michael Silverman, takes classical music into the modern age! The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts is accepting nominations for the Lena Bosch Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes individuals who have exhibited outstanding, creative, innovative, and visionary leadership in the growth and advancement of the arts in our community through involvement with the Turner Center.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host the 7th annual ARToberfest. The festival observes National Arts & Humanities Month, celebrates the talent of local and regional artists, and highlights the arts’ remarkable impact on community life. ARToberfest will take place on Sat., Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Turner Center Art Park, located at 605 N. Patterson St. The event is free and open to the public.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host a gallery opening reception on Mon., Sept. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m., at 527 N. Patterson Street. The galleries will feature the works of Victor Bokas, “Eye Candy,” Annie B. Campbell, “Degrees of Dissonance,” and the National Association of Women Artist, “By Heart.” Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served.

In partnership with Valdosta State University’s Family Weekend, the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host 2RiverStation for a live Music in the Art Park concert on Friday, Sept. 13 from 7-9 p.m. in the Turner Center Art Park, located at 605 N. Patterson St. The live concert, sponsored by BRD Valdosta and VSU’s Student Life, is free to the public.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts has announced its 2024-2025 SCORE Music Appreciation Concert series, which will kick off with world-renowned pianist Julian Gargiulo, on Tues., Sept. 10, at 7pm. Gargiulo is a classical pianist, composer, and humorist who performs all over the world, from prestigious venues from New York’s Carnegie Hall to Singapore’s Symphony Stage and beyond. He has been featured on radio and TV stations in North America, Europe, and Asia, and most recently on BBC Radio 3 in London. Gargiulo was named a Steinway Artist in 2014.
