The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts was awarded a $10,000 General Operating Support Grant from the Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA), the Georgia Department of Economic Development team specialized in empowering arts and culture, for fiscal year 2027.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts invites published authors from across South Georgia and North Florida to participate in the 2026 Turner Center Literary Fair, to be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Turner Center Galleries, 527 N. The Children’s Imagination Station is celebrating summer with a Summer Funfest event on Wed., July 1, from 10am to 5pm, at 512 N. Ashley Street, Valdosta.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will hold an opening reception on Mon., June 15, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m., at 527 N. Patterson Street. The Center will feature the works of Preston King, “The Color of Place: Georgia State Parks,” Julie Mazzoni, “Intervals of Place,” Cat Babbie, “Science of Preciousness,” and the 18^th Annual Valdosta People’s Choice Photo Contest. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts announces its youth summer art camps available for ages 5-18, with two-day, three-day, four-day and full week options. All summer camps take place on the Turner Center Campus and are designed to interject imagination and creativity into the summer months. Spots in each camp are limited.

The Turner Center for the Arts is now seeking talented musicians and community sponsors for its highly anticipated 2026 Music in the Art Park Concert Series, running from June through November on the second Friday of each month.

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts is calling on community members to roll up their sleeves and join in its Annual Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This year’s event carries special significance as volunteers will help prepare the grounds for the highly anticipated opening of the Meta Shaw Coleman Children’s Imagination Station.

Hundreds gathered on April 13 for the 39th Annual Spring Into Art Gala, hosted by the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts. More than 300 pieces of original art created by over 150 regional artists were entered into the region’s most prominent art exhibition and will remain on display through June 10, 2026.
