Painting classes allow students from all experience levels to enjoy and explore a variety of painting mediums and techniques, from subject painting to abstract! Students are given the freedom to express themselves, explore, and take risks in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

Paint & Sip

In this beginner-friendly class, students will use acrylics to create an abstract work of art! Class material includes basic painting techniques, color theory, and a step-by-step approach to creating your own works of art.

Beginner Watercolor Workshop with Daisy Taylor

Watercolor + Color Theory Foundations
Learn basic watercolor techniques such as flat and gradient washes, wet-on-wet, dry brush, and layering while experimenting with salt, rubbing alcohol, wax resist and straws. Techniques and color theory will be explored through several exercises.

Paints & Pastries

Registration Deadline: Monday, July 13 – Noon

This beginner-friendly class is an excellent way to try your hand at painting or to brush up on your skills! Students will paint a different subject each month and learn new techniques in the process, including underpainting, value, layering, blending and more.

All classes are held in the Art Annex, on the main campus of Turner Center for the Arts, 601 N. Patterson Street, unless otherwise noted. Due to limited availability NO REFUNDS will be given unless you notify the Center 48 hours prior to class by calling 229.247.2787.
