Javon Longieliere is a fashion, commercial and fine art portrait photographer in Valdosta, Georgia. He and his wife started their photography studio in Valdosta, GA in 2001. For the next 12 years, they travelled all over the world shooting weddings and portraits. Destinations have included France, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Spain, and the Bahamas. Inside the U.S., they have been to Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, and Texas. They are now one of the most recognized and sought after photography teams in the country.

The body of work that Javon has produced has caught the attention of publishers both nationwide and in local areas. His images have appeared in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, The Knot, Get Married, the Atlantan Brides, La Bella Bride, Atlanta Weddings, Central Florida Bride and I Do. As well as capturing the attention of commercial markets, they have also commanded the attention of their fellow photographers. His images have been published in the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Albums (2004 and 2005), which feature the best work that year. They were also featured in the professional monthly periodical for WPPI as a “Member of the Month” in September of 2006. They were interviewed by the New York Institute of Photography in 2005. In April 2006, they were interviewed by The WB television network for a special on weddings. His work has also garnered over twenty international awards given by three of the most prestigious organizations in the industry: PPA, WPPI, and WPJA. In 2009, they were ranked #16 in the world by the Wedding Photojournalists Association and #1 in Georgia. In 2011, they began offering photography workshops for both professionals and amateurs.

In 2008, Javon and Dawn had a son and Dawn decided that she would stay at home. It didn’t take long for Javon to decide to walk away from the international scene and come back home to run his portrait studio in Valdosta, GA with his family. He now specializes in shooting  portraits as well as fashion images and the occasional wedding for families in and around the Valdosta area and sometimes farther!

Recently, Javon Longieliere authored the book, Destination Wedding Photography. Last year, he was featured in an article about destination wedding photography in the magazine Digital Photo Pro. This year, his portrait and fine art work has been featured three different times internationally in the magazine Lensational as well as the publication running a feature on him and his work.

Javon has earned the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation from Professional Photographers of America (PPA) as well as the Photographic Craftsman (Cr.) degree.
