Public Art Community Workshop

You are invited to participate in a community workshop, with Artist-in-Residence Marty Haythorn at the Turner Center for the Arts. The workshop will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Hudson Building, located across Webster Street from the Center. Participants will help prepare and construct mosaic murals for an Art-Deco-style mosaic planter to be on permanent display as part of the public art in downtown Valdosta. Mr. Haythorn will explain the details and announce additional open workshop times to work on the planter. Participants will be acknowledged on a plaque as a part of the project.
Attendees should wear work clothes and be on time. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants are required to sign a registration sheet.
