Fiber Arts Class: Silk Painting – Scarf
Offered the 4th Saturday of each month | 10am-1pm
In this colorful, hands-on class, you’ll explore the luminous world of silk painting using Dynaflo fabric paints and the marker resist technique. We’ll work on lightweight silk scarves, where color flows like watercolor and every line becomes part of the design story. This class is perfect for beginners and returning students alike. You’ll learn basic silk-handling tips, color blending, and simple design approaches that let the material do some of the magic for you. By the end of the session, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind silk scarf and a new appreciation for how paint, line, and fabric conspire beautifully together. Students need to bring an apron or wear old clothes that they don’t mind getting paint on. All other supplies provided.
