Born and raised in Richmond, VA, I always loved to draw. Upon moving to PA, I graduated as an art major from high school and attended the Edenton School of Art studying Fine Arts, Chester County, PA. I’ve worked in Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic, Pen and Ink, Pencil, Oil Pastels, Lithograph, Plaster-of-Paris Sculptures, Photography and Stained-Glass. I’ve had art shows in PA, FL and GA. In addition to being a member of the Turner Art Center, I’m also a member of the Council for Culture and Arts in Tallahassee, FL.
I have been published in a nationwide book, “Life in the Slow Lane: Covered Bridges.” A story I wrote and honored my mother by having it in her name. We were featured in the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper along with our photographs showing a watercolor painting of a covered bridge I created. I had an advertising/publishing career and did work for: Comedian/Impersonator, George Kirby; Chuck Yeager, FL Gov/Senator Bob Graham and FL Gov. Leroy Collins. Had ads in the Tallahassee Democrat, Tampa Tribune, Miami Herald and the Wall Street Journal. Won advertising awards and had my name in magazines. I’m now a retired accountant for the State of FL.
I’m also a musician – Drummer/Percussionist, Timpanist, Steel Pans and Banjo performing in many secular bands and churches in PA, FL and GA. I’ve had some music studio experience in Philadelphia.
