Pets & Portraits Oil Painting Workshop with Suzanna Winton

This Two-Day Workshop is designed to cover a variety of subjects, techniques and materials useful in oil painting. We will paint Pets and Portraits using Photo references. Students will be given a photo and line drawing to transfer onto canvas each day. Students will paint each subject along with the Instructor. Daily demos will be given. Students may also bring their own photo references and paint the subjects of their choice. If you are interested in mastering both of these subjects in oil, or if you want to transition from watercolor to oil, this workshop is for you. All skill levels welcome!

• Learn how to mix glowing skin tones and paint pets with personality.
• Working from dark to light, using the techniques the Old Maters used, beginning with luminous lean darks, placing important highlights, and adding mid-tones.
• Learn important techniques such as blocking in shapes, color placement, scumbling and glazing.
• Class fee: $200 per student.
