Youth Drawing Class

Class meets 2nd Saturday of each month | 1-3pm

Do you have a youth who loves to draw? Looking for a way to help your child grow their artistic skills? This class will focus on a different drawing technique each month, including areas such as value, optical illusions, gesture drawing, and more! In August, each student will create a palm tree silhouette landscape, using pencils and markers to learn the techniques behind pen and ink drawing. Students will learn how to draw a palm tree, exploring wedge-shaped leaves and adding fronds extending from the leaf’s center rib. Once the drawing is complete, students will make the silhouette stand out by applying a watercolor wash to create a sunset background.
