Nature’s Palette

Two-Day Youth Summer Art Camp 2025

May 27-28 | 10am-3pm each day | Ages 6-12 | SOLD OUT
$175 | $165 MEMBER

Let your child’s creativity bloom at Youth Summer Art Camp! Young artists will explore the beauty of the natural world through painting and drawing, led by the Turner Center’s artists-in-residence Christine Cabral and Annette Crosby. Students will create themed art – including leaves, flowers, insects and birds – and bring them to life with color and imagination! Through hands-on activities, youth will learn foundational art techniques while developing their appreciation for nature. This camp offers the perfect opportunity for youth to explore creativity and curiosity in a joyful, supportive environment! Projects to be made include funky flowers, colors in flight (butterfly), parrot friends, and plant sculptures. Techniques explored include painting, drawing, mixed media, and collage.

This summer camp is two days – Tuesday and Wednesday – 10am-3pm each day. Camp check-in begins at 9:45am each day, and check-out begins at 3pm. Camp will start promptly at 10am each morning. Parents of campers not present by 10:15am will be called, and parents of campers not picked up by 3:15pm will also be called, in accordance with Center safety procedures. Students will benefit from a 5 to 1 student to teacher/assistant ratio. Students will be responsible for bringing a packed lunch and a reusable water bottle, while snacks will be provided by the Center at least once during the day. NO PEANUTS are allowed in lunches, due to camper allergy concerns. Lunch will be at noon, on the Center’s campus – which includes the Galleries, Art Park, Art Annex, Hudson Pottery Studio, Richard Hill Glass Studio, and (coming soon) the Meta Shaw Coleman Children’s Imagination Station. Lunch will be eaten in one of the first three locations, subject to change at the Center’s discretion.
