ARTistic Expression

In this class, students explore various techniques of visual arts, and delve into the unlimited possibilities of their artistic creations. Students use mediums such as watercolor, tempera, colored pencil and techniques such as drawing and mark making, and collage to create works of art centered around a specific theme each class. Students learn the basic elements and principles of design to create a strong foundation for learning and exploring art. NOTE: ARTistic Expression meets Saturday, November 21 to accommodate Thanksgiving Holiday hours.

The ARTistic Expression classes are held at the Art Annex on the main campus of Turner Center for the Arts, 601 N. Patterson Street.

Exploring Computer Art

In this class, students learn how to use software programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Paint to create works of art. Students receive hands-on instruction and taught to think creatively and inventively to have a deeper understanding of the impact of technology on art. Students design, propose and evaluate artistic ideas through application of chosen innovative processes and techniques.

The Exploring Computer Art class is held in the Guardian Bank Computer Lab, 2nd Floor, on the main campus of Turner Center for the Arts, 527 N. Patterson Street.
