In these classes, youth of all ages are empowered and encouraged to positively express themselves through music. Students discover the many benefits that learning to play a musical instrument provides.

Beginning Guitar Lessons

Class meets every Thursday evening | 5-6pm

Ready to start playing guitar? That’s fantastic! These classes are designed to teach you how to play guitar by covering the basics, from playing chords to beginning songs. Students will learn about the parts of the guitar, scales, right and left hand form, chord progressions, strumming patterns, and more!

$40 per month | $30 per month member/student/military
Guitars and scholarships available upon request.

All classes are held in the Art Annex, on the main campus of Turner Center for the Arts, 601 N. Patterson Street, unless otherwise noted.
