Sculptural Flameworking

This class is a little more advanced than Flameworking 101. Students will learn how to make small figures and networking in both soft glass (furnace compatible) and borosilicate. They shape glass and learn the differences between working with soft glass (melts faster, cracks more easily) and borosilicate (melts slower and is more stiff). Closed-toe shoes are required. Students may discuss further additions to their work with the instructor, then register for a glassblowing experience or workshop to continue the piece in the hot shop, if desired.
