Call for Artists/Teachers

The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts is seeking artists/teachers to work with youngsters, teens, and adults in an expanding visual arts education program. All media are welcome and unique approaches and techniques are encouraged.

Artists/teachers are paid $50 per hour for appropriate class size and classes may be from 4 to 8 weeks in length with 1 ½ hour to 3-hour sessions. Those interested are also encouraged to consider workshops from ½ day to 5 days in length. Classes and workshops may be proposed for the winter, spring and summer sessions of 2017. Youth and teen classes will be scheduled after school hours and on Saturday. Adult classes can be taught during the daytime, but night classes are encouraged.

Needed Immediately: The Center is also seeking artist/teachers who can teach two-hour drawing, painting, sculpture, design, or ceramics workshops to teens as early as November 2016. Send resume, two references, examples of work, and teaching preferences as soon as possible.

Needed for Spring 2017: The Center is also looking for an individual or for individuals who can teach teens and young adults using Adobe Photoshop Elements to edit cell phone photos this coming Spring 2017.
