Bluegrass Expo for Kids

Locate: Turner Center for the Arts
For: Children ages 8-17 and their parents
Presenters: Martin Feagle and his band, Mary Ann Eason
Fee: Contributions are welcome.
1:00 – 1:10 Play 2 or 3 well-known songs
1:10 – 1:20 Introduce and talk about the different instruments and their purpose
1:20 – 1:30 Play an instrumental number and let each musician play a break
1:30 – 1:40 Guitar demonstration and take questions
1:40 – 1:50 Mandolin demonstration and take questions
1:50 – 2:00 Fiddle demonstration and take questions
2:00 – 2:10 Banjo demonstration and take questions
2:10 – 2:20 Dobro demonstration and take questions
2:20 – 2:30 Bass fiddle demonstration and take questions
If the demonstration runs more quickly, then the band will perform another song or two.
2:30 – 3:00 Meet the presenters, instrument “petting zoo” for all instruments, refreshments
3:00 – 4:00 Concert performed by presenters
