ARTISTIC EXPRESSION

Express yourself!

In this class, students will explore various techniques of visual arts, and delve into the unlimited possibilities of their artistic creations. Students will explore mediums such as watercolor, tempera, colored pencil and techniques such as drawing and mark making and collage to create works of art centered around a specific theme each class. Students will learn the basic elements and principles of design to create a strong foundation for learning and exploring art. Click HERE to register.

EXPLORING COMPUTER ART

Just imagine what you can do!

Computers in ART meets the 3rd Saturday of each month. Students will learn how to use software programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Paint to create works of art. Students will receive hands-on instruction and be allowed to think creatively and inventively to have a deeper understanding of the impact of technology on art. Students will design, propose and evaluate artistic ideas through application of chosen innovative processes and techniques.

OIL PAINTING

with DEAN LITTLE

Express yourself in living color!

This class allows students to explore the processes of oil painting and to perfect their skills in this traditional art medium. This class is for intermediate students ages 18 and up who are looking at further developing their skills and diving deeper into mastering their oil painting techniques through in-depth study of color, lighting, space, value and more. PAINTED CANVAS

DAY SERIES

Learn new techniques!

Learn how to paint with acrylics. Each month, there will be a different subject to paint, highlighting techniques/brush usage. Classes are scheduled to resume in September 2020.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT
The party signing this Agreement is either a parent or guardian of a student enrolled in a class on the campus located at 527 North Patterson Street, Valdosta, Georgia, on which is located the facility operated as The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts, along with the appurtenant walkways, buildings and parking lots serving same (herein the Center or premises).
Additionally, the undersigned acknowledges that personal injury and/or property damage may occur to the undersigned or to those other persons utilizing the premises for the above class and barring the intentional act or gross negligence on the part of The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts or its authorized agents, the undersigned does knowingly and voluntarily release and hold harmless the Center, its employees, agents or other parties connected with the Center for any injury to the student or damage to their property resulting from their presence at the Center. The undersigned will not only release and hold harmless the Center for any such loss or damage to the undersigned or student, but will, in addition, agree to forever indemnify and hold harmless the Center for any such claim resulting from personal injury or property damage to any of the undersigned or student invitees (no matter how such personal injury or property damage may occur), including attorney fees or other costs incurred by the Center to defend or negotiate settlement of any such claim.
This waiver, release of liability, hold harmless and agreement to indemnify is executed in consideration of the Center allowing the student to attend class, and is made a part of any agreement between the Center and the undersigned parent or guardian of a participating student.
