Cheryl began her tenure at the Turner Center in March 2008 as Interim Executive Director and assumed the position of Executive Director in July 2008. A native of Quitman, she attended Valdosta State (College) and now lives in Lake Park with her husband, Jack, and dog, Sammye. Her favorite vacation spot is their cabin in the North Georgia Mountains. She is a member of Lake Park United Methodist Church where she serves as a Sunday School teacher. Interests include (but are not limited to) sports, gardening, fishing, music, travel, entertaining and all aspects of the arts.
Bill Shenton (Artistic Administrator) [email protected]
Bill became part of the Turner Center’s family in June 2009. He is a Valdosta native married to Anne Wilhoite Shenton. Bill received a B.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Georgia in 2004. As creative administrator, his duties include booking artists, creating gallery displays, giving tours of the galleries and developing promotional material for Turner Center events. Bill enjoys painting, cooking and any opportunity to be in a boat, especially salt water fishing.

Meredith C. Nuckols (Communications Administrator) [email protected]
Meredith joined the Turner Center team in April 2017. She manages all communication efforts including membership, marketing, website, and social media for the Turner Center. She received a BFA in Studio Art and a BFA in Art Education from Valdosta State University. Meredith lives in Valdosta and enjoys spending time with her family, friends, blind cat, and two diamond dove birds. She loves creating art, cooking, traveling, and all things music.
Debi Davis (Arts Education Administrator) [email protected]
Debi joined the Turner Center in August of 2016. She develops classes and workshops for the Turner Center as well as coordinates art talks, workshops and activities for various school groups. She has a BFA in Art and an MAE degree both from Valdosta State University. She is also a retired art educator with 25 years of experience in the field of education. Debi lives in Lowndes County on multiple acres of trees and a pond. She loves to create jewelry, read, watch movies, and sit on the deck with a glass of white wine listening to the frogs on a warm evening.

Darby recently graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art. She specializes in painting, drawing and ceramics, and she hopes to attend graduate school to receive her MFA with a focus on those areas. Besides art, she is interested in playing guitar and dance.
Jordan Dunn (Administrative Assistant) [email protected]
Jordan Dunn is a Senior in the Nursing Program at Valdosta State University. She will graduate in December 2017 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Her plans are to then get a job in an Intensive Care Unit and get her Masters of Science in Nursing in order to become a Nurse Practitioner. She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her dog.
